These are the products that I have been absolutely loving for the month of April!
The first three are brushes that I have been using every time I put on my makeup and all of these are very affordable. The first one is the Ultimate Blending brush from ELF cosmetics ($6). I have been using this for my liquid foundation and it applies the product flawlessly. The second brush is the Contouring brush from Wet N Wild ($1). This brush is extremely inexpensive but feels very high quality. It is very soft and makes it very easy to blend out product. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the new brushes from Wet N Wild. The last brush is the Morphe M527 brush ($15, also a good dupe for the MAC 145 brush) . This is my new favorite brush to bronze the face (check out my previous post to see what my top 3 favorite drugstore bronzers are). Morphe brushes can only be found on the Morphe website, but lots of beauty bloggers on YouTube are affiliates with Morphe and have discount codes so look out for those!
The Photo Focus Setting Spray from Wet N Wild ($4) has also been a favorite of mine this month. It feels like water but I have noticed that it does prolong the wear of my makeup and makes everything look refreshed.
I feel like I am a little late on this one, but I purchased the MAC eyeshadow in Swiss Chocolate (I just got the pan, $6) and I have been obsessed with using this in my crease to blend out shadows or all over the lid for a rusty brown smokey eye look. I love MAC eyeshadows and this shade is really unique. (FYI: MAC has free shipping with no minimum spending requirement).
My next April favorite is this MAC Large/ Duo sided Pro Palette ($8, FREE SHIPPING on MAC website). That’s right, this whole empty palette is only eight bucks! I have depotted some of my MAC shadows and other eyeshadows and put them in here and I love how I have everything in one palette and can get rid of excess clutter in my makeup bag. I also have the pans from my Anastasia Contour Kit in here and three Wet N Wild blushes. There is also a plastic tab in the middle to separate the two sides. This palette is very sturdy and durable, however the magnetized sides are a little weak so I did have to use some magnetic tape on the backs of the pans for extra strength. Also, if you have 6 empty MAC compacts you can trade them in at a MAC store for a free eyeshadow or lipstick!
I have also become obsessed with these two products, the L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte liquid foundation ($12) and the Infallible Pro Matte powder foundation ($10). Together, they are a match made in Heaven but I also use the powder over other liquid foundations and I love the way it looks with them as well. I use my ELF blending brush (the one mentioned above) to apply the foundation and it is perfection. Both of these products stay put all day and work really well for oily/ combo skin. The liquid foundation does not dry down to be 100% matte, so this could also work for dryer skin types as well.
The NYX HD concealer in shade Tan ($5) has been my favorite product to use for cream contouring. This is so easy to use when I do not feel like spending too much time on my makeup because it blends out like a dream and is the perfect shade.
Of course I am going to include this as a favorite because I have been using this almost every day. I already have a post about this product so I won’t go too in depth but it is an awesome primer and moisturizer and I love it!
Lastly, these two products have been lifesavers this month! My hands and body have been so dry recently and I have been using these every day. The EOS hand lotion in Berry Blosson ($2) is an awesome hand lotion. It melts into the skin and does not leave them sticky, but is really hydrating. Also, the smell is amazing! The Nivea Essentially Enriched body lotion ($5) is also a great product for dryer skin. I apply this all over right after a shower and it soaks into the skin really nice and again, feels very hydrating without being sticky. It also gives the skin a nice glow because it contains Almond Oil.
