MOTD: Halo Eyes & Bronzed Skin (feat. the Morphe 35O Palette)

I brought back a cult favorite to create this halo eye look- the iconic Morphe 35O eyeshadow palette. I paired this eye look with a pinky nude lip color to keep the focus on the eye makeup.

Keep scrolling for more pics and a full list of products that I used to create this whole look! I also included a picture of the palette, identifying which colors I used.

EYES

  • Created a halo eye effect using shadows only from the Morphe 35O palette (I placed a star on the colors that I used)
  • Applied one coat of Covergirl SuperSizer lengthening mascara to my top and bottom lashes.
  • Applied a pair of my favorite false lashes- the Ardell Demi Whispies.

FACE

  • For foundation I used the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth foundation mixed with a little bit of my NYX white foundation mixer.
  • Used Tarte Shape Tape Concealer under my eyes.
  • Set my concealer and face with the Coty Airspun loose powder.
  • Contoured using the cream contour shade from the Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow palette.
  • Bronzed and warmed up my skin with MAC’s Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun!
  • Applied a little bit of Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Sensual
  • Highlighted with Laura Geller baked highlighter in Gilded Honey

BROWS & LIPS

  • Filled in my brows with the Skone Cosmetics brow pencil
  • My lip color is the Colourpop x Kathleen Lights Ultra Satin Lip in Aquarius

Mermaid Glam (feat. new products!)

This look was inspired by the NYX Prismatic Eyeshadow in the shade “Mermaid”. It is a gorgeous metallic seafoam green color and the star of this bold makeup look!

Keep reading to see pics and a full list of products that I used!

EYES

  • I mixed together all of the green shades from my Morphe 35b palette for the transition shade.
  • I used a dark green eyeshadow from the same palette on the inner and outer corners of my eyes to create a halo effect. I deepened up the inner and outer corners with the navy blue from the palette.
  • In the center of my lid, I applied the NYX shadow “Mermaid” with my finger and blended out the edges slightly:
  • I replicated the same technique to the bottom lashline. I brought the Mermaid shadow pretty far down for a more dramatic halo effect.
  • I applied a coat of Maybelline Big Shot mascara to my top and bottom lashes, then applied a pair of Ardell 120 Demi Wispies.

FACE

  • I tried out a new foundation for this look- the Covergirl Vitalist Healthy Elixir foundation in shade 725 buff beige (detailed review coming soon)
  • I applied Tarte Shape Tape concealer under my eyes, bridge if my nose, and chin.
  • I set my concealer with the translucent Coty Airspun powder and the rest of my face with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder
  • I bronzed my face with the bronzer shade from the Colourpop x Alexis Ren palette in “Golden Moment”
  • For contouring I used the Fiona Stiles Bronzing Sun Veil powder in Ahiko
  • For blush I used the LA Girl blushes in Just Natural (matte) and Just Glowing (shimmery)
  • I highlighted above my brows, brow bone, nose, cheekbones, and Cupid’s bow with the same NYX Mermaid eyeshadow. I love how using this shade all over the face tied the look together.

BROWS

  • I filled in my brows using a mix of the dark green and navy blue shades from the Morphe 35b palette. This step is not necessary, but it went along with the Mermaid theme.

LIPS

  • First I applied the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Aquarius.
  • I dabbed the Essence lipstick in Porcelain Doll in the center of my lips to make them even more nude.
  • I used the NYX Mermaid shadow once again in the center of my lips to tie the look together.

🌅 Sunset Makeup 🌅

I wanted this look to be very bright and bronzy, but also wearable. I love pairing orange and red together, especially for a Spring/Summer makeup look.

  • Rimmel Stay Matte powder to set my face
  • MAC Give Me Sun! Mineralize Skinfinish to bronze up my face

MOTD: Peach Tones

Peach tones have been trending lately with the launch of the Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection as well as Kylie Jenner’s new Royal Peach eyeshadow palette, so I decided to create a makeup look based off of these gorgeous shades!

I wanted this makeup look to be bright and colorful while also being a fresh and natural look that can be worn casually.

As always, keep reading to see a full list of the products that I used and be sure to keep up with me on Instagram too @marinaleebeauty!

FACE

  • Primed my face using the Murad Oil Control Mattifier and Benefit’s Porefessional primer.
  • For foundation, I used a combination (to get the right shade) of the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer in Creamwhip and Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation in 128 Warm Nude.
  • For concealer, I used the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Full Coverage concealer in the medium shade.
  • I set my under eye area using the RCMA No Color powder and the rest of my face using the new Wet N Wild PhotoFocus pressed powder in tan beige.
  • I contoured using the Wet N Wild MegaGlo contouring palette in the shade Dulce De Leche and bronzed with the Becca Multi-Tasking Perfecting Powder in Warm Honey.
  • I highlighted the high points of my face using, of course, Becca x Jaclyn Hill’s Champagne Pop.
  • For blush, I used the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso

EYES

  • I primed my eyelids with the Wet N Wild PhotoFocus eye primer and set it with a translucent powder.
  • I used the light and deeper peach shades from my Morphe 35B palette to create this look. I applied the lighter shade in my crease and all over my lid. I went in with the darker shade to deepen up the crease. Lastly, I used a medium brown shade to deepen up the outer corner of my eyes slightly. I brought the same light and medium peach shades on my lower lash line as well.
  • I skipped out on eyeliner for this look because I wanted it to be more on the natural side and just applied some falsies. I used the Kiss lashes in the style Ritzy.
  • To finish off the eye look, I applied a nude eyeliner from Rimmel in my bottom waterline for a fresher look.

BROWS & LIPS

  • I filled in my brows lightly using the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in medium brown.
  • I lined and filled in my lips with the new Wet N Wild PerfectPout lipliner in the shade Bare To Comment (peachy nude shade).
  • I applied the new Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit matte liquid lipstick in the shade Nude Peach overtop of the liner. This shade applies kind of streaky, so I do recommend applying a lip liner underneath it.

MOTD: Green & Purple Fall Smokey Eye

I love recreating different makeup looks and this one created by Melissa Alatorre really stood out to me! I think that using the deep plum and green shades make this a gorgeous fall look while also incorporating color.

Hope y’all enjoyed this look!

Colorful MOTD feat. the Morphe 35b Palette

The Morphe 35b palette is the perfect palette for anyone who loves creating bright, fun eye looks and experimenting with color!

This palette is not a new product or anything, but I was so excited to add this to my makeup collection and create so many fun looks out of it, starting with today’s.

Today’s makeup look was also inspired by makeup artist, Linda Hallberg. She is by far the person I go to when I need some makeup inspiration. Her work is absolutely amazing and so different from any other makeup artist that I follow.

For my recreation of this look, I used a more toned down glitter in the inner corner and added a little bit on the outer corner of the eye as well. Linda used a deep plum lip color and I decided to use a brighter shade to add another pop of color.

Products used:

Face

  • Primed using the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector
  • For foundation I used the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer
  • To conceal/brighten the under eyes and t-zone, I used the Maybelline Fit Me concealer
  • I set the concealer with the NYC loose translucent powder
  • I contoured my face using the Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer.
  • For blush, I used the tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Blush in shade Exposed. I wanted to keep the blush very neutral and toned down to keep the focus on the eyes and lips.
  • Highlighted using the Makeup Revolution baked highlighter in Golden Lights.

Eyes

  • Primed my eyes using the Wet N Wild PhotoFocus eye primer.
  • I set the lid and brow bone area with the white eyeshadow from the palette.
  • I used the lighter red shade in the crease as the tradition shade, then went in with the true red shade and packed this all over my lid and blended it into the crease, winging it out as well. I kept packing on this shade to intensify the color.
  • For the bottom lashline, I smoked out the hot pink shade, then smudged the medium purple shade closer to my bottom lashline.
  • I created a winged liner using the Wet N Wild liquid eyeliner in Voltage Blue.
  • I added some gold pressed glitter from Wet N Wild to the inner and outer corners of my eyes.
  • I applied a good coat of the L’Orea Vuminous Carbon Black mascara to my top and bottom lashes, then applied some falsies (Andrea lashes).

Brows & Lips

  • I filled in my brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown.
  • I only used one product for the lips, Maybelline lipstick in Violet Vixen from their Bolds collection.

Purple & Orange Halloween Makeup Look #1

If y’all know who Alissa Ashely is on YouTube, she did a Halloween makeup look the other day that really inspired me to do this look! I played around with oranges, purples, and black to create this Halloween Glam makeup look!

Copper Eyes & Brown Lips: Fall Makeup Look

Even though it is still summer, Fall makeup and fashion trends are popping up everywhere and I couldn’t wait! I love dark lip colors, especially chocolate brown shades, so I decided to pair this with a shimmery copper eye look. I did use, yet again, my Morphe 35O palette on my eyes. I know I probably over-use this gem of a palette but it has every shadow I could ever need to create a warm toned makeup look for Fall. I also used the same “draping” blush technique that I explained in yesterday’s post.

I hope y’all enjoy this look and are inspired to start playing around with Fall makeup as well!

Products Used:

Face

  • I primed my face with my Murad Oil Control Mattifier (this is meant to be more of a moisturizer for oily skin, but it works really well as a primer for me).
  • For foundation I used the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation.
  • For concealer I used the MAC Pro Longwear concealer. I also used this to prime my eyelids.
  • I set my face and concealer with the Coty Air-Spun powder.
  • I used the Makeup Revolution matte blush in Nude to “drape” my face. “Draping” is a technique where you skip out on your typical contour shades and contour with a neutral blush. I have a full post all about this technique if you would like to check it out!
  • I highlighted my cheekbones using the Essence Pure Nude highlighter.

Eyes

  • For my entire eye look I used, of course, the Morphe 35O palette.
  • I did not apply an actual eyeliner, instead I just used a dark brown from the palette and an angled brush to smoke out my top lashline slightly.
  • I applied a couple of coats of my Covergirl Super Size lengthening mascara.

Brows & Lips

  • For brows I used the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Dark Brown and then set my brows in place using the Essence Make Me Brow brow mascara in a dark brown shade as well.
  • For my lips, I lined them using the Essence lip liner in the shade All Natural.
  • My lipstick is a deep, chocolatey brown shade- L’Oreal lipstick in Spice.

Rusted Smokey Eye Look

Once again, I used my Morphe 35O palette to create this look! I was feeling really inspired by the maroon/rusty shades in the palette because these colors make my eye color, and any eye color, really pop! As per usual, I did not use fake lashes (I typically do not like to use fake lashes for my everyday makeup because they add a little too much drama for what I am going for). The eyes are all matte except for a little pop of shimmer on the inner corner.

I hope y’all enjoy this makeup look and feel inspired as well! A full list of the products I used will be down below.
